Dochula pass is the most well known pass in Bhutan which is located an hour from Thimphu at an altitude of 10000 feet. It can be visited on the way to Punakha valley. There are 108 Buddhist sputa’s overlooking the Himalayas. These sputa’s were built in 2004, in memory of the war between the Assamese (of India) and Bhutanese militants. When the sky is clear, the Mountain View is spectacular. The pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Himalayan mountain range.
Another interesting attraction in Dochula is the Dochula Tshechu (festival), which scheduled from to every year.
